Death - One Word Prompt

Death - One Word Prompt

The word that you have to include in this prompt is "death"

DEATH

Technical Definition - (given by dictionary.com)

the action or fact of dying or being killed; the end of the life of a person or organism.

What is death? Uh... Well it could be considered the end of your life while on this earth. Or maybe it is the beginning of your next life. Or maybe it is something else entirely. Death, ladies, and gentlemen. That is the word for the day's prompt, because why not start the week talking about something that will happen to us all. You're welcome.

Rules - (if you want to call them that)

  • Make the piece shorter than 1000 words.

  • It could be fiction or non-fiction.

  • You have to refer to the given word somehow in your piece.

Synonyms to this word - (in case you don't want to write about this one)

Here are some suggestions for you to get going - (or that you can completely ignore)

  1. Answer what you would do if you never died?

  2. How would you like to die?

  3. Try to be optimistic about this very sad topic.

What I would write with this prompt - (that would probably be wrong)

I am going all morbid humor here. Yeah, I'd write a piece that mocks death in some way or another. Even though death gets the last laugh in all of this.

DEATH is your one word for today's prompt.

Imagine a world without you, or not. But make sure to enjoy writing it.
